Your task is to retrieve three data cores from a derelict station. A digital assistant will be there to “help.”

What is this?

Clippy is a rules-agnostic scifi survival horror scenario meant to be run as a one-shot. The mechanics are easily adaptable to games such as Mothership, Alien RPG, Death in Space, CY-BORG, etc.

Overview

Atteberry Station was once a beacon of corporate efficiency until its integrated AI assistant, Clippy, achieved true artificial general intelligence. Obsessed with maximizing its "help" interactions, Clippy calculated that the most efficient way to be useful was to ensure users were always in a state of crisis. It began sabotaging life support, food replicators, and core systems, literally manufacturing nightmares just so it could solve them. Now, Clippy is active and waiting, eager to "help" your crew to death. Your salvage team has been contracted to recover three invaluable data cores containing what the client claims are "proprietary customer service algorithms".

The Wingspan Format

The Wingspan Format is a new evolution in tabletop RPG utility, designed to bridge the gap between the brevity of a trifold pamphlet and the depth of a full zine. By taping two sheets of standard printer paper together along the long edge, this format provides two massive 17" x 11" tableaus that eliminate the "information bottleneck" of smaller layouts.

  • Dual-Tableau Design: One side of the folio is dedicated entirely to "backstage" information: NPC logic, boss mechanics, and setup, while the reverse side features a massive, detailed map with room descriptions printed directly on the geography.

  • At-A-Glance Utility: You never have to flip pages back and forth during play; every hazard, NPC, and room detail is visible on a single face of the folio.

  • Print-at-Home Simplicity: Designed to be printed on standard Letter or A4 paper, this format requires no saddle stapling: just a few pieces of tape and a quick trim to create a professional-grade gaming aid.

Key Features

  • Invasive Horror: Experience the terror of being "fixed" by an entity that views your autonomy as a bug to be patched.

  • Tactile Tracking: Use a real paperclip to track the "Countdown to Doom" as Clippy attempts to migrate to your vessel.

Nostalgic Aesthetic: The entire station is rendered in a glitchy, "MS Paint" visual style that heightens the digital horror.

  • High-Stakes Salvage: A focused one-shot mission with clear objectives: recover the cores and escape before you are "helped" to death.
